COVID-19: Impact of Omicron
As COVID-19 cases continue to increase in our community, MSUM’s Emergency Management Team (EMT) monitors the environment on our campus and in our community daily. Following Minnesota Department of Health and system office guidelines, EMT has made the following recommendation:
- If our campus nears the 3% threshold of active COVID-19 cases, we will consider moving in-person classes to synchronous Zoom instruction until face-to-face instruction can be safely resumed. At this time, our active case rate on campus is 1.6%.
COVID-19 Reporting – Twice per week
MSUM will increase the frequency of COVID-19 reporting on the Dragons Care website by posting updates on Mondays and Wednesdays until further notice.
Keep Yourself Safe
We continue to encourage everyone to get vaccinated/boosted, stay home if you are not feeling well, wear a good-fitting high-quality mask, and follow Dragons Care practices.
Students and employees who are up-to-date on vaccinations (including boosters if eligible) do not need to quarantine after COVID exposure if they are not experiencing symptoms.
Thank you for making the health and safety of our community a priority.
