Spring 2022: Outreach to Unregistered Students
Retaining our current students is essential to reaching our enrollment goals. Each semester, a collaborative campaign is launched to contact and support current students who are eligible to return for the following semester but have not yet enrolled.
The Process
Efforts to reach out to unregistered students for spring 2022 began five days after each student’s enrollment window via a text campaign run by the Academic Success Center. Following open enrollment, unregistered students were surveyed by the Academic Success Center to identify their intentions to return and/or barriers to registration. Students have since received individualized follow-up by Student Relations Coordinators, advisors, and other campus partners.
How are we doing?
We surveyed 894 unregistered students about their intentions to return on November 3. As of Monday, November 29, there were 566 degree-seeking undergraduate students who had yet to register for spring classes.
How can I find out more?
Updated information about outreach to unregistered students is available on the Retention Initiatives webpage.
What can I do?
Faculty and staff are urged to connect with students to encourage registration for spring classes. Advisors are able to view their students’ spring registration status via “Advising Home” in the Advising & Early Alert system (sort by the “Reg T/C” column). Student Relations Coordinators for all academic colleges have access to student response information and can also let advisors know which students intend to return and are in need of advising assistance.
