Karen Joan Kohoutek’s essay “The Many Lives of Mina Murray,” exploring how adaptations of Dracula have morphed and sometimes distorted the character in various ways, was recently published in the journal Dead Reckonings: A Review of Horror and the Weird in the Arts. An excerpt is featured on the journal’s Medium page. Kohoutek is a technician at the Livingston Lord Library, and is a graduate of MSUM’s Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing program.
