Colorful Stories Series – Let’s Talk Athletics
The Colorful Stories Series highlights and centers the lived experiences of Black people, Indigenous people, People of Color, women, LGBTQ+, neurodivergent individuals, and other folks whose stories are often overlooked or overshadowed. Through any event in this series, you’ll get to learn from people’s experiences and practice perspective taking.
September’s event will focus on folks who are connected to the world of athletics, sports and fitness. We’ll learn more about their experiences and their stories. Bring your curiosity, because we’ll be taking questions from the audience!

- Kari Peterson – Director of Recreation and Wellness at MSUM and a former collegiate athlete
- Kayla Goebel – owner of Strong Roots, an inclusive gym facility in Fargo
- Jared Bledsoe – former MSUM Men’s Basketball Player, color commentator on Dragons Basketball, and Next Level Basketball Academy
