MSU Moorhead’s Paseka School of Business earns AACSB reaccreditation

Reaffirms distinction in business education programs

In April, AACSB International announced that Minnesota State University Moorhead’s Paseka School of Business (PSB) earned an extension of the accreditation of its business programs. This honor is held by only 5 percent of business schools globally and signifies MSUM’s commitment to high-quality teaching and continuous improvement. AACSB accreditation affirms the quality of PSB programs in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, Master of Business Administration, Masters of Accounting and Finance, Project Management, and Global Supply Chain Management.

“We are proud to have not only earned this distinction yet again but also to recognize the hard work and dedication of our faculty, staff and students. Their commitment to excellence and desire to challenge themselves and each other is evident in earning this honor,” said Dr. Joshua Behl, interim dean of the College of Business, Analytics & Communication.

Achieving accreditation requires rigorous internal focus and engagement with both AACSB and peer reviewers. This multi-year path requires schools to develop and implement plans and strategies that align with AACSB standards, including active participation of key stakeholders, learning and teaching, academic and professional engagement, and strategic management. MSUM has held this distinction for over 11 years.

“When I looked at different colleges, MSUM caught my eye because of its AACSB accreditation,” says David Nibbe, a business administration major from Brainerd, Minn. “After researching what it meant for students, I felt assured I would receive a valuable education that would prepare me for the real world. Now, as I prepare for graduation, I have additional opportunities for navigating the business field.”
