Planetarium director and student researcher present workshop at national astronomy conference

Dr. Sara Schultz and Erick Hernandez presented a workshop on using strategic questioning (a form of formative assessment) with both formal and informal groups to better engage and educate.  The workshop was presented to an international audience during the annual meeting of the Astronomical Society of the Pacific.  Hernandez, a student in science education, developed much of the workshop during his Strong Summer Research work with Dr. Schultz and is based on her doctoral work in formative assessment use in planetaria.  The presentation will be available to view online in the near future on the ASP conference website.
