Neuroscience Journal Discussion Group Meeting

(formerly known as the Neuroscience Journal Club)
–The neuroscience of consciousness–

We are a group of students and faculty who meet to discuss a chosen topic and research article from within the field of neuroscience. Everyone is invited, we do not have membership in our group, and we welcome all students, faculty, staff, and community members who are interested in neuroscience, regardless of your level of knowledge. Just download our chosen article and bring any questions and comments you might have. We look forward to a lively discussion and answering any questions.

Current Topic: This meeting we will discuss the neural correlates of consciousness. We’ve chosen an article that lays the foundation for a discussion about consciousness by providing definitions, theory and background on the topic. The authors explore current and past research as they tease apart the differences between attention and consciousness in the brain.

Meeting: Wednesday 11/18, 6 p.m.
