Planetarium students, director present at Great Lakes Planetarium Association Annual Conference

Seven planetarium student staff and the director, Dr. Sara Schultz, presented this week for the annual GLPA conference, this year held virtually.

Senior English Education major, Callie Tescher, presented on the shows she has developed based on astronomy and mythology, entitled Mythology and the Milky Way: Celebrating the Stories of the Sky in the Planetarium.
Junior Chemistry major, Abigail Bormann, presented on the musically inclined shows she has developed and presented in the planetarium. Her presentation talks about her skills as a violinist and scientist, entitled Classical Music, Performance, and Astronomy: A Few Suite Ideas.
And finally, Going Virtual: Student Created “Web-isodes”, is a presentation about the webseries several students have been developing for the planetarium’s online presence. Students Megan Kucera (Sr., Art education & art therapy), Bridgett Grosz (So, Geoscience & Astronomy), Autumn Grosz (Fr, English Ed), and Aubrie Vivant (Fr, Film Production) all share about the webisodes they are creating and how they got their inspiration. Support our students and check out their presentations!
