Safe Zone Level Trainings
Faculty, staff, administrators and graduate assistants have two opportunities to register for MSUM’s Safe Zone Level I Training this month. The Safe Zone Program consists of interactive trainings where participants learn about the LGBTQ+ community, the importance of inclusive language and creating safe spaces, and how to be a supportive ally and advocate for LGBTQ+ social justice and equity.
The first training will be offered during Staff Development Day:
Tuesday, March 10 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m.
Tuesday, March 24 from 1-3 p.m.
Both trainings will be held in CMU 203. Registration is required via Dragon Central. For more information, visit www.tinyurl.com/msumsafezone or contact Dana Bisignani at dana.bisignani@mnstate.edu or (218) 477-4973.
Level I Training or equivalent is required before participants may register for Level II, which will be offered on April 24. Registration for Level II Training opens next month.
