MSUM to commemorate the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr.

Tuesday, Jan. 21 | 5 p.m. | CMU Ballroom

MSUM will host a panel of speakers celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr., Tuesday, Jan. 21 beginning at 5 p.m. with refreshments and a program start time of 5:30 p.m. in the university’s Comstock Memorial Union Ballroom.  

Featured speakers will present TEDx-style talks about Martin Luther King, Jr.’s life and legacy, along with the importance of social activism and political engagement. A speaker panel for audience questions will follow.

Event speakers include: Jered Pigeon, Campus Diversity Officer, Director of Diversity & Inclusion (welcome/emcee);  Dr. Earnest Lamb, Dean, College of Arts, Media & Communication; Dr. Arrick Jackson, Vice President of Academic Affairs; Ponny White, Student & President, Black Student Union; Kayla Roehrich, Student & Treasurer, Black Student Union; and Jonathan Judd, Moorhead Mayor (Keynote Speaker)

The event, sponsored by MSUM’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion, is free and open to the public.
