MSUM School of Art to host 6th Annual Tri-State Art Affair Event

The MSUM School of Art will host Art-A-Fair 6, an annual High School Arts Exhibition and Workshop Day on Friday, Jan. 31st.  More than 30 regional high schools from three states will send 300 students and teachers to the event. Art, Music, Performing Arts and Media Arts Faculty will offer over 25 hands-on workshops that students can choose from and attend. The two-week exhibition features nearly 200 works of art in the Center for the Arts Gallery with the exhibit closing Friday the 31st. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A panel of art, design, and media arts professors will jury the exhibition sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Fargo and award $1,000 in prize money in eight media categories. The event awards ceremony takes place from 12-12:20 p.m.  The event also features vendors and professional development workshops for teachers as well as hosting the North Dakota Art Educators Association Board Meeting in the afternoon.
