Angie Bowen awarded Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship

Angie Bowen, a Political Science major at MSUM, was awarded the Benjamin A. Gilman Scholarship for the Spring 2020 semester. The Gilman is sponsored by the Department of State and is reserved for students studying abroad who are dedicated to language acquisition and developing other skills critical to the national security and economic prosperity of the United States. The selection process is competitive, with an acceptance rate of about 25%. Ms. Bowen will use these funds to study the Russian language and political science in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan this spring.
