Rea & K-Nelson featured at Cellular Cinema
Raymond Rea and Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson (School of Media Arts & Design) were the featured artists at Cellular Cinema’s screening event at the Bryant Lake Bowl Theatre in Minneapolis. Cellular Cinema 47: North by Northwest showcased work from across Rea and K-Nelson’s careers, largely focusing on their respective experimental non-fiction films dealing with identity, personal histories, and mythologies. The screening and artist talks took place on July 11, 2019. Cellular Cinema is a screening series for contemporary experimental film, video, and expanded cinema, unbound by commercial considerations of mainstream narrative media.
