MSUM Earns Accreditation by the PMI Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs

The Project Management Program at MSUM has been accredited by the Project Management Institute (PMI) Global Accreditation Center for Project Management Education Programs (GAC).

“PMI is the most recognized professional organization for project managers worldwide and is responsible for setting industry standards,” said Angela Hagen, an MSUM alumna and project management manager at NAU Country Insurance Company. “PMI accreditation demonstrates that MSUM’s program meets high-quality standards so the students can expect excellence.”

Degree programs that achieve GAC accreditation must demonstrate and meet the GAC’s rigorous global standards of accreditation, which include an assessment of program objectives and outcomes, faculty and student evaluations, onsite and online resources, annual self-evaluation, and proof of continuous improvements in project management education. Over 95 project management degree programs in 14 countries are accredited by GAC.

Offered since 2014, MSUM’s project management degree features accelerated classes, flexible online or on-campus delivery options, and generous transfer credit for students with AA, AS or AAS degrees. Graduate placement rate exceeds 92 percent, with average starting salaries around $62,000. MSUM’s project management degree is one of two online, bachelor degree programs in the Upper Midwest accredited by the PMI-GAC, and one of five in the United States to specifically offer a BS in project management.

“MSUM project management students are being educated and trained by a university committed to delivering high standards that prepare students for real-world success,” said Jason Orloske, MPM, PMP, vice president of operations at ImmunoPrecise Antibodies Ltd. “Students learn project management leadership skills from a globally recognized institute, skills that can be transferred between industries. MSUM is an educational provider with proven success, and I’m proud to be associated with the university.”
