SLHS graduate student Kelli Tonn and faculty MariBeth Plankers, Jill Beuckens, and Joni Mehrhoff represented the MSUM Speech Language Hearing Clinic at the 11th annual Midwest Parkinson’s Initiative Community Symposium on April 24. The event brought together members of the community with Parkinson’s disease, caregivers, medical providers, and interested community members to raise awareness for, and learn more about, Parkinson’s disease. The group from SLHS highlighted the clinic’s resources for individuals with Parkinson’s disease including the Regional Assistive Technology Center, SpeakOUT, and LOUD Crowd Programs.
