Rainbow Royalty Drag Show
**The Drag Show is being postponed due to the Campus Closure for weather – we’ll share more details when it gets rescheduled!
You’re in for a night of royal fun as you cheer on local performers, eat free food, and drink mocktails! We interviewed Dylin Van Elsberg, who is part of both the Dragon Entertainment Group and planning committee for the drag show to learn more about the event!
What is your role in the Dragon Entertainment Group?
“I am an event coordinator with the Group, which means that I get to plan and coordinate events like the Drag Show, Grocery Bag Bingo, Dragon’s Got Talent, and many other cool events for students to enjoy.”
What are you most excited about for the Drag Show this year?
“One of my favorite parts about the Drag Show every year is that we have performers who have done dozens of shows before and performers who will be performing in drag for the very first time. And no matter how many performances they’ve done they give it their all and have a great time.”
Why should students go to the Drag Show?
“Students should go to the Drag Show because it’s an awesome chance for them to see a show like this for free that is right on campus and is for all ages. All you have to do is show up and have fun!”
It’s my first drag show! What should I expect?
“If it’s your first time coming to a Drag Show, you should expect a fun and relaxed environment where you can sing along to any of the songs you know, get some free food and mocktails, and enjoy performances by your peers!”
“Make sure to cheer on performers you really like! When a performer can hear that the crowd is loving what they’re doing, it gives them an extra boost of confidence that can make the performance even better!”
Sponsored by SPECTRUM, Dragon Entertainment Group, Rainbow Dragon Center, and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, this is an event you won’t want to miss. Remember to RSVP on DragonCentral!
