MSUM SLP students conduct Community Autism Forum

On April 18, the MSUM Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) graduate students by the direction of Rachel Stotts, conducted the “3rd Annual Community Autism Forum.” This was the first year that the event had interdisciplinary participation from the University of Mary Occupational Therapy (OT) program and the University of Jamestown Physical Therapy (PT) program. There were 21 SLP students, 11 OT students, and 8 PT students all presenting on a variety of topics pertaining to Autism Spectrum Disorder. The forum attracted students, faculty, and community participants. There were numerous opportunities for the participants to engage with the presenters and have hands-on opportunities for learning.
