Dr. Kim’s coauthored paper receives award at hospitality, tourism conference
Dr. Wooyang Kim, Assistant Professor of Marketing in the Paseka School of Business and Dr. Kelly La Venture (Bemidji State University) honored with the best paper award by the Tourism Sciences Society of Korea at the 2019 Tourism, Hospitality, and Event Conference for Researchers, Educators, Practitioners, and Students (THEREPS): Las Vegas, NV (April 13, 2019).
The paper title is “Examining a Relationship Among Hedonic and Utilitarian Values, Travel and Visit Intention, and Management and Marketing Approaches to Effective Destination Promotion in Rural Communities.” This study investigated the effectiveness of a dual approach for community stakeholders to promote the destination in rural areas in the Midwest region through conducting a semi-structured in-depth interview.
