To celebrate Women’s History Month, please join the American Indian Center in viewing “Young Lakota.” “Young Lakota” is a documentary that follows the political stirrings of Cecilia Fire Thunder, the Oglala Sioux Tribes first woman president, as she threatens to build a women’s clinic on tribal land in wake of the proposed anti-abortion law in South Dakota. The film also follows the lives of three young adults, all whom are inspired to better life on the reservation.

Light snacks will be provided. Casual discussion after the film. This will be located in the American Indian Center CMU 115.
