Weather Emergency Notifications

With spring semester underway and the winter storm season upon us, it is important you know how the campus community will be notified of any changes to MSU Moorhead’s campus operations schedule.

In severe weather conditions, MSUM may delay the start of classes, cancel classes or close the campus to all but essential operations. If there is an alteration to the University’s normal operations, the campus community will be notified in several ways including via the Official list servs for both employees and students, as well as with information posted to the MSUM home page mnstate.edu

Employees and students automatically receive weather-related and emergency messages on their official MSUM email accounts via Dragon Alert, the University’s emergency notification system.  You are also encouraged to visit the Dragon Alert portal on the MSUM Public Safety home page mnstate.edu/public-safety to view and add other contact preferences, which may include cell or work numbers for voice phone calls and text messages, as well as additional email accounts. If there are others who would benefit from Dragon Alert notifications, please invite them to complete the sign-up process, too.
