Minnesota Out! Campus Conference a success

MSUM and M State hosted the 2018 Minnesota Out! Campus Conference (MOCC) on October 26-28. MOCC provides an opportunity for students, staff, faculty, alumni, and community members from Minnesota, North Dakota, and surrounding areas to discuss issues facing LGBTQ+ individuals on college and university campuses and in the greater community.

The conference was a huge success, with over 100 students from 20 colleges and universities across Minnesota and North Dakota attending the conference this year. Over 20 additional organizations were represented throughout the conference in the resource fair, workshop presentations, free HIV testing, and as volunteers.

We are grateful for the dozens of students, staff, faculty, and community members who volunteered their time to make the conference possible. We would especially like to thank our conference planning committee, which consisted of students and staff from M State and MSUM, and a representative from the MN GLBTA Campus Alliance: Kim Bokinskie, Jayce Branden, Alli Fast, Marisa Gonzalez, Emily King, William Lewandowski, Olivia Matthews, Jen Parshley, Araceli Spotted Thunder, Teresa Stolfus, Dylin Van Elsberg, and James Weinzirl.
