Witches & Wild Women in Pop Culture

Wednesday, Oct 31 | 3-4:30 p.m. | CMU 203

From “American Horror Story: Coven” to Harry Potter to public gatherings of women who recently “hexed” public officials, witches are having a cultural moment. Even MSUM once boasted a sorority of witches advised by Flora Frick.

Join us for a talk by Women’s Center Coordinator Dana Bisignani about how witches, both real and imagined, have been tied to women’s resistance throughout history and our enduring fascination with these wild women in pop culture.

Come dressed as your favorite witch – PRIZES awarded for best costume!

Free and open to all. Broomsticks optional.
