K-Nelson’s films screen nationally, internationally

Hús, an experimental film by Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson (School of Media Arts & Design), screened at the Aurora Picture Show on October 26 in Houston, TX. Over the last few months, Hús was also included in the Official Selection of the Latitude Festival in Suffolk, England, the Transylvania Shorts International Film Festival in Romania, as well as the Square Lake Film & Music Festival in Minnesota. Featuring a sound score by Icelandic noise artist AMFJ, Hús is a meditation on emigration and immigration, and was shot in Iceland and North Dakota.

Additionally, K-Nelson’s non-fiction short, In Our World, was screened October 20 at the Flyway Film Festival. Over the last few months, In Our World was also exhibited at the Wisconsin Film Festival, the Free Range Film Festival, and at the Marquee at Union South in Madison.
