Driver’s License Verification
Employees and students must have their driving record verified annually in order to operate a motor vehicle on University business whether the vehicle is state-owned, leased, rented or personal. Use your Star ID and password to sign in to the MSUM Driver Verification system to review your driver verification status: https://my.mnstate.edu/Driver/
If you need to drive on University business and are not currently approved, you will need to request a driver’s license verification check. When completing the request, please change the driver’s license expiration date to the actual date that your license expires rather than leaving the current date as the default value. You will also need to complete the mandatory MnDOT Defensive Driving course.
Supervisors must ensure employees and students are verified as acceptable drivers before authorizing them to operate a motor vehicle for any business travel including running errands. Use the “Verify Driver” tab located on the main navigation bar to review their driver verification status.
