Dr. Stewart trains Americorps Reading Corps members for community service

Dr. Lisa Stewart, faculty in Psychology/School Psychology, trained school staff and community volunteers in early literacy strategies and assessment at the 18-19 Minnesota Reading Corps Summer Institute on August 13-16 in Minneapolis, Minn.

Reading Corps provides important support to students PreK to Grade 3 (and Math Corps in Grades 4-8) across the nation, including many local and regional schools in the FM area. MSUM faculty Dr. Mary Dosch also attended the Institute and supports local schools.

Over 1,000 members will be serving in MN alone this year — a MN Americorps record! Reading and Math Corps can always use dedicated members and coaches, so if you are interested check it out!
