K-Nelson in Official Selection of England’s Sheffield Doc/Fest

The Sheffield Doc/Fest will be screening Hús (House) by Kyja Kristjansson-Nelson (School of Media Arts & Design). The Sheffield International Documentary Festival is an industry event celebrating the art and business of documentary and non-fiction storytelling.

K-Nelson’s film Hús was shot in both Iceland and North Dakota. Icelandic noise artist AMFJ composed an original sound score for the film. The Sheffield curators wrote that in Hús “the representation, context and meaning of ‘home’ is explored in pounding rapid-fire. A psychedelic reverie of emigration and immigration, this is possibly the visual embodiment of house music.”

Sheffield Doc/Fest will present K-Nelson’s film on June 11 at the Light Cinema and on June 12 at the Curzon Cinema.
