Criminal Justice, Gerontology, and Sociology students inducted into national honor societies on May 3
On Thursday, May 3, the faculty in the Department of Sociology and Criminal Justice inducted 15 students into one of three national honor societies, including four students who were inducted into two national honor societies. The faculty also announced the winners of the department’s annual awards.
Criminal Justice Majors inducted into the Mu Omega chapter of Alpha Phi Sigma include: Sydney Arntzen, Maria Bischoff, Julia Blommel, Jessica Buys, Alex Fuchs, Kailey Jenks, Annie Mettert, Michael Osmundson, Saydi Peasley, and Hanna Wiersma.
Gerontology majors inducted into the Gamma Eta Rho Omega chapter of Sigma Phi Omega include: Kailey Jenks and Solveig Mundis.
Sociology majors inducted into Alpha Kappa Delta include: Sydney Arntzen, Maria Bischoff, Julia Blommel, Tobias Boegel, Joshua Kes, Julia Sorensen, and Robert Urbatsch.
The Swaran Sandhu Outstanding Criminal Justice Major Award was presented to Brittany Bergren.
The Outstanding Paper Award was presented to Katelyn Weber.
C. Wright Mills Sociological Imagination Awards were presented to Joshua Kes, Solveig Mundis, and Savanah Tweet.
