Expanding Your Horizons Conference participants introduced to the field of Economics

MSUM students Samantha Carlson, Shrijana Chapagain, Anna Landsverk, and Jess Lhotak joined Drs. T. J. Hansen and Gregory Stutes to present the workshop, “The Choice is Yours,” as part of the Expanding Your Horizons Conference on April 7. This conference invites young women in the seventh, eighth, and ninth grades in Minnesota and North Dakota to a day of career exploration workshops focused on the development of mathematical, critical thinking, and analysis skills. Young women in “The Choice is Yours” workshop participated in a market experiment to learn how price and other variables impact consumer behavior.
