Sooo, you’re admitted (yay!)… What’s next?
First off, congratulations again on being admitted to MSU Moorhead! We can’t wait to have you join the Dragon family. Now that the hard part is over, you might be wondering what you need to do next?
Accept Your Admission
Let us know you’re coming by accepting your admission. We get a lot of questions if this means that you are 100% committed to MSUM. The answer is no. Life happens. Things change… We get that. There is no financial commitment when you accept and can let us know at a later time if you decide not to attend.
Sign up for SOAR
SOAR = Student Orientation, Advising and Registration. This is the fun part where you get to connect your future classmates, meet your advisor and register for your first college classes. Dates fill up quickly, so get signed up ASAP!
Apply for Housing
First year students are required to live on campus. Housing is on a first come, first serve basis. To ensure you get the resident hall you want, apply early! Also, be sure to check out our Learning Communities before you start the housing application.
Apply for Financial Aid
We have several resources available to help you pay for college including financial aid, grants and scholarships. The process can take 6-12 weeks, so if you plan to apply for financial aid, be sure to get your FAFSA submitted to us as soon as possible in order to get everything processed before the school year starts. Our school code is 002367.
