MSUM theatre students perform at local elementary school

On February 28, twelve members of MSUM’s Blackfriars student organization went to S. G. Reinertsen Elementary in South Moorhead to perform as part of their Read Across America celebration. Read Across America is a nationwide event that typically takes place on Dr. Seuss’s birthday. This event encourages and inspires youth of all ages to take some time out of their days to read. Blackfriars members Alanah Etheridge, Alexis Francis, Bryana Thorson, Michael Pfautz, Morgan Kempton, Noah Roddy, Riley Schumann, Seth Cline, Shayley Espeseth, Skyla Rautenkranz, and Whitney McClain performed in a staged reading of Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches directed by Blackfriars’ Vice President Paige Walth. This opportunity was presented to Blackfriars by Kia Grindland, another MSUM student, who is a student teacher at S. G. Reinertsen Elementary.
