Scammers claim to represent Public Safety

Two students have contacted MSUM Public Safety saying they were called by scammers claiming they were under investigation by Public Safety and demanding payments. In one call, the scammer claimed to be from the IRS, in another call, the scammer claimed to be from Public Safety and the caller ID was spoofed to read Public Safety. MSUM Public Safety will never call you to demand money. If you receive a similar call, hang up and report it to Public Safety.
