MSU Moorhead Spring enrollment increases

The 30-day Spring Semester enrollment figures for Minnesota State University Moorhead (MSUM) show an overall increase led by gains in graduate students. Overall total headcount is up 0.8 percent, driven by a 20.1 percent increase in graduate students. Spring Semester headcount is 5,664, with 4,730 undergraduate and 934 graduate students.

Other notes of interest:

  • In‐state headcount increased by 171 to a total of 3,734, the highest spring count in the last five years.
  • Male headcount increased 2.6 percent from spring 2017.
  • Domestic students of color represent 12.1 percent of our spring student population. This shows an average increase of 0.5 percent each spring since 2014.

Continued growth and interest from local students and from across the state of Minnesota can be attributed to MSUM’s commitment to the advancement of Moorhead and the surrounding communities.

“We continue to create new programs that meet the regional needs of students and industry, such as the Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership and the undergraduate Business Analytics degree,” said Tom Reburn, MSUM’s director of undergraduate admissions. “These are the kinds of programs that strengthen our purpose of transforming the world by transforming lives.”
