MSUM to host hundreds of high school artists

The MSUM School of Art hosts the Fourth Annual Kiwanis High School Arts Exhibition and Workshop Day on Friday, Jan. 26. More than 25 regional high schools will send teachers and students to the event. Students choose four of 25 workshops to attend, and exhibit their work in the Center for the Arts Gallery.

A panel of art, design and media arts professors will jury the exhibition and award $1,000 in prize money in nine media categories. Kiwanis Club of Fargo is providing the prize money. The awards ceremony begins at noon and finishes before 12:30 p.m. Workshops take place before and after the awards ceremony.

The exhibition of student work runs from Jan. 16 to Feb. 1. Gallery hours are Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
