Please attend a collaborative event to honor our veterans and to recognize the accomplishments of Native American people who served in the U. S. armed forces.  The event will be 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 8 in the CMU Ballroom. Doors open at 11 a.m.

Native Americans serve in the military in proportionately higher numbers than any other ethnic group. You will hear from veterans who served in various branches; their reasons for serving, their experiences, and the great pride they have in doing so. Refreshments will be served.

This is a meaningful professional development opportunity for faculty and staff. In addition, faculty, please consider offering extra credit to your students.

The event will feature the White Earth Veterans Honor Guard, Buffalo River Drum Group, and MSUM alumna Cera Swiftwater. The program will be emceed by Amy Sleath, President of the MSUM Veteran’s Club.
