Sleeplessness for the homeless charity fundraiser

Friday, Nov. 17 at 11 p.m. – Saturday, Nov. 18 at 10 a.m.

November 11-19 is National Hunger & Homelessness Awareness Week. In honor of this, Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity is hosting a “Sleeplessness for the homeless charity fundraiser.”

Could you face the cold of an autumn night for a night? Starting Friday, Nov. 17 at 11 p.m. and going until 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 18, Sig Tau will be sleeping outside on the Campus Mall. The event doesn’t aim to replicate homelessness, but it does show you some of the realities — the cold, and the damp. The event helps to raise awareness of the issues around homelessness but also raises valuable funding and support as well. We are partnering with the Dragon Entertainment Group and will be collecting clothing items, food, and cash to donate at the event. Sig Tau will be providing blankets and pillows to those wanting to join. All are welcome! There will be food, and a bonfire. Contact Dalton Bartz, Chapter President at bartzda@mnstate.edu for any questions.
