Bachmeier receives MN Higher Education Art Educator of the Year Award
Brad Bachmeier, a faculty member in the School of Art at Minnesota State University Moorhead, will receive the Minnesota Higher Education Art Educator of the Year Award at the Art Educators of Minnesota Annual Conference on Saturday, Nov. 4, in St. Cloud, Minn.
Bachmeier, a pottery artist and educator with an extensive teaching and exhibition resumé, was nominated by Jeremy Holien, Minnesota’s Director of Visual and Media Arts at the Perpich Center, Minneapolis.
“Brad has come to epitomize the meaning of artist/teacher. While establishing a national reputation for his artwork he has also built an outstanding reputation for MSUM’s Art Education program which is now the largest within a 3 state region,” Holien stated in his nomination of Bachmeier.
