MSUM Football aims to ‘Tackle Cancer’ this Saturday vs U-Mary

Saturday, Oct. 28 | 2-5 p.m. | Scheels Field

The Minnesota State University Moorhead Dragon Football team is back in action this Saturday, Oct. 28, hosting U-Mary during their annual “Tackle Cancer” event.

“So many people in our world have been impacted by cancer, whether directly or through family and friends,” MSUM head football coach Steve Laqua said. “We are glad to do what we can to raise awareness about cancer but also to raise money to help find a cure.”

“It is so important to recognize cancer’s impact on so many people,” MSUM athletic director Doug Peters said. “To be able to play a role in raising money to get closer to a cure while bringing attention to its effects something we are grateful for the opportunity to do.”

MIDCO will be the official sponsor of this home game, giving away 1,000 red stocking hats to those in attendance. Doors will be open at 12 p.m. starting the game at 2 p.m.
