Counseling and Student Affairs student to present at National conference

Counseling and Student Affairs student Rebel Marie, was selected to present at the American Counselor Association Conference and Expo in Atlanta, Ga., in April. The presentation is entitled The Incompetent Counselor: A Multicultural Approach in Working with Trans Clients. The presentation will explore many of the hurdles transgender people face as they try to receive counseling. Rebel has also been invited to be the keynote speaker for the second annual Great Plains Affirming Campus at Mayville State University on October 28. She will be presenting on the subject of queer careers and exploring the pitfalls of searching for work and balancing identity.
