Zhimin Guan’s work reaches across the globe
Painter Zhimin Guan gave two lectures at Fuyang Teachers College (where he was named a visiting professor) and Fuyang Vocational and Technical College, both in Anhui province, China, this summer. Also, several paintings that were featured in an exhibition catalog, along with his oil painting “Minnesota Lake View,” was collected by Honlichen Art Museum in Guizhou, China. His work was also chosen for a story published by Economy-Shanghai and Hongkong Magazine this past May.
Zhimin’s work was also recently chosen for display at the governor’s office at the North Dakota State Capitol in Bismarck, and for the permanent collection at Moorhead State Community and Technical College. A new solo exhibition titled “Water and Stone” opens at ecce Gallery on Thursday, Sept. 21, with a reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, located at 216, Broadway, Fargo.
