Otter Tail County couples honored at Red River Valley Development Association banquet, Fergus Falls Daily Journal: “Two Otter Tail County couples were honored at the annual Red River Valley Development Association banquet March 19 … Gary and Janel Haugrud of Pelican Rapids were selected as West Otter Tail County’s honor couple … The Haugruds graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead.”

North Dakota Soybean Council Elects Executive Officers, American Ag Radio Network: “Executive board officers were elected during the North Dakota Soybean Council’s board meeting on March 29 … Matt Gast of Valley City, N.D. was elected secretary.  Along with his brother-in-law and father-in-law, Gast raises soybeans and corn on his family farm. He graduated from Minnesota State University Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in construction management.”

Clad in her navy overalls, gloves and safety goggles, the 23-year-old Fargo native uses an oxy-acetylene kit — what she describes as a “blow torch on steroids” — to heat metal to 3,000 degrees and bend it into intricate geometric sculptures.”
