Registration, calls for proposals announced for upcoming conferences

Registration is open and calls for proposals have been announced for two upcoming conferences in the Twin Cities: Brightspace Minnesota Connection conference and the Minnesota eLearning Summit. 

BRIGHTSPACE MINNESOTA CONNECTION – April 21, 2017

The 2017 Brightspace Minnesota Connection conference (https://www.d2l.com/events/regional/minnesota/) will be held at Normandale Community College, Bloomington, MN, Join your colleagues, peers, and D2L staff to connect, exchange ideas, display best practices, and network with other D2L Brightspace users. Opening keynote speaker: John Baker, CEO of D2L.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Whether you’ve presented before or not, here is a chance to share your ideas, experiences and best practices with your colleagues. Proposals from faculty, staff and administrators in Higher Ed and K-12 are welcome.

Format options include 50-minute regular sessions, 25-minute lightning rounds or a 30-minute poster session, with focus on any of these areas:

  • Teaching design and instruction
  • Innovation
  • Support, Training and Administration

Deadline for submitting proposals for the Brightspace Minnesota Connection conference has been extended to February 17, 2017.

AWARDS NOMINATIONS: The D2L Brightspace MN Connection Awards are an annual event of the MN Connections Regional Conference. The awards recognize Minnesota faculty, technical staff, or administrators who have used D2L Brightspace to deliver learning experiences that are innovative, collaborative, or have made an extraordinary impact on learning outcomes. Self-submit or nominate one person or a team of people.

Submission for awards nominations is due by February 28, 2017.

 

MINNESOTA eLEARNING SUMMIT – August 2-3, 2017

The 2017 Minnesota eLearning Summit (https://cceevents.umn.edu/minnesota-elearning-summit) is the premier gathering place for K-12, college, and university educators and innovators in the Midwest who are committed to effective online and blended learning.

CALL FOR PROPOSALS: Calling all innovators in the field of online and blended learning! Share your research and unique perspective with your peers. Join us for the 2017 MN eLearning Summit, the premier gathering place for K-12, college, and university educators and innovators in the Midwest that are committed to effective online and blended learning. The Summit planning committee welcomes first-time presenters!

The following presentation methods will be available this year:

  • Oral presentations (30 or 60 minute sessions)
  • Poster presentations
  • Panel presentations (60 minute sessions)
  • Lightning Talk (5 minutes)
  • Roundtable Discussion (60 minutes)
  • Workshop Session (60 minutes)

Deadline for submitting proposals for the Minnesota eLearning Summit is March 10, 2017.

AWARDS NOMINATIONS: The Minnesota eLearning Summit committee is pleased to announce the second MN eLearning Excellence Awards Call for Nominations. The Excellence Awards will recognize teachers, faculty, administrators, and staff engaged with exceptional elearning experiences, practices, or projects. The awards are open to individuals or teams who are affiliated with Minnesota-based E−12 or higher education institutions. Self-nominations are welcome.

Submission for awards nominations is due by June 14, 2017.
