Campus Compact-Civic Action Plan
Minnesota State University Moorhead Audit
Dear MSUM Community,
MSUM is currently a member of the National Campus Compact http://compact.org/. The purpose of Campus Compact is to advance the public purpose of colleges and universities by deepening their ability to improve community life and to educate students for civic and social responsibility. This purpose also supports our MSUM strategic anchors and priorities https://www.mnstate.edu/about/mission.aspx.
A small group of faculty and staff (Justin James, Shireen Alemadi, Chad Markuson, Becky Boyle Jones and Brenda Amenson-Hill) are currently working to develop a Civic Action Plan for MSUM. As part of this effort, we need to audit the campus community to see what faculty, staff and students are already doing in the area of community service. We would like you to reflect on your work and share programs, projects and initiatives that are currently taking place at MSUM. We want to create as complete a list as possible of initiatives that engage students with the community in educationally purposeful ways.
These examples of current initiatives will help us tell our story, market the amazing efforts already in place, and plan for new opportunities. Please take a moment to complete this brief survey. If you have additional information to share please submit to Becky Boyle Jones, Assistant Director, Student Activities and Greek life becky.boylejones@mnstate.edu by February 13.
