Become a DJ at KMSC Dragon Radio

Welcome to KMSC Dragon Radio! We are a student run, nonprofit educational organization. KMSC is a volunteer based station open to students, faculty, and staff at Minnesota State University Moorhead. KMSC provides many unique opportunities for students that other organizations can’t offer. For example, we offer real life experiences in radio broadcasting, a chance to improve communication skills and confidence, a great experience to put on your resume that will be sure to make you stand out, an opportunity to earn credit, access to new and up and coming music, and a chance to interview bands.

KMSC is one of the oldest organizations on campus going back to the mid-1950s. We collaborate with other student organizations and participate in campus wide events. We broadcast music of a “college” genre, campus news, campus events, and local news. We attend events, record liners, and we stream across the world on dragonradio.org. Being involved in KMSC is a good experience for mass communications and music industry majors but, all majors are welcome!

Listen to us on 1500 AM, on dragonradio.org, or watch/listen to us on Dragon Channel 98.1 in the residence halls. Want to join? Pick up an application at the KMSC’s office (Flora Frick 239) or print one off online at dragonradio.org. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter!
