Mayo Clinic IMPACT Program Information

Friday, Oct. 14 | 1 p.m. | Langseth 118

Dr. Katie Campbell, director of the Mayo Clinic’s IMPACT program, will be presenting information and answering any questions about the IMPACT program in Langseth Hall 118 at 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 14.

The IMPACT program (Innovative Minds Partnering to Advance Curative Technologies) encourages creative solutions to important health questions through collaboration between undergraduate students and encourages interdisciplinary approaches to difficult questions. This Minnesota-wide competition offers a $1,000 cash prize to each member of the team that drafted the winning proposal as well as an opportunity to pursue their proposal in a research laboratory at the Mayo Clinic.

MSUM had a team submit a proposal last year on the underlying cause of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. That group of students thoroughly enjoyed their experience and hope that others will take advantage of this Mayo Clinic program.
