The event will include spectator seating and concessions.

gravity-games-poster“MSUM is excited to kick off Homecoming 2016 with an event unlike any we’ve ever done before,” said MSUM assistant athletics director Jon Wepking. “Our efforts for this event are to engage a group typically left out of the Homecoming experience and connect them with others in the community with similar interests. We’re excited to bond our students with the community and are greatly appreciative to Gravity Gaming for their partnership in the event.

The entry fee is $10 to enter Super Smash Bros Melee Tournament, or $50 per team (5 members) to enter League of Legends Tournament. There is a $500 cash prize for the LoL Tournament.

MSUM’s own pro-gamer Brandon “puCK” Qual will be a special guest at F-M Gravity Games, offering play-by-play announcements during the tournaments. Qual is one of America’s top Starcraft II gamers. His fame comes not only from his skill at Starcraft II, but also his presence on popular video game streaming platform Twitch. Thanks to approx. 15,000 Twitch followers, Qual has made a living of his gaming passion for more than five years.
