Faculty Development Center Open House

Thursday, Aug. 18 | 12-4 p.m. | Faculty Development Center

The Faculty Development Center will host an Open House starting at 12 p.m. Snacks will be provided.

There will also be “Drop-In” Sessions in the Faculty Development Center (LI 124) between 1-4 p.m. on the following topics.

  • Get advice on creating syllabi and first day handouts – view some examples, discuss ideas with faculty development committee members.
  • Consult with Instructional Technology Services staff – bring questions you have about “D2L Brightspace” or other instructional technologies.
  • Sign up for (or suggest a topic) for a book study, journal club, or “Community of Practice” group – we will begin organizing groups of faculty who wish to participate in faculty learning communities. Expect to hear more about these during the first few weeks of the semester.
  • Donate items to the Faculty Development Center Pantry – coffee, tea, and cocoa are always appreciated, as are non-perishable food items. If you have extra glass or plastic bowls, silverware, a toaster, water pitchers, and medium or large serving bowls, these items are also on our wish list.
