Women’s History Month hosts screening of Xica

Join the History, Languages, Critical Race and Women’s Studies Department screening of Xica (1976) on Monday March 7, 2017 at 8 p.m. in King Hall 110. This Brazilian narrative dramedy film follows the life of Xica/Chica de Silva, an African slave in Brazil during in 18th century and her rise in social class standing.

Dr. Nathan Clarke will provide context about the film prior to the screening. Please join us to learn about an important woman in history a part of Women’s History Month programming coordinated by Women’s and Gender Studies.
