Jazz Performance Alumnus Andy Stermer to perform tonight
MSUM Jazz Performance Alumnus Andy Stermer (’14) will be given the unique honor of having a complete concert of his original music performed tonight by the University of Miami Jazz Concert Ensemble. As a Jazz Arranging graduate student at the the U of M, Andy secured a $10,000 Presser Foundation grant to support the appearance of master Uruguayan drummers to perform his unique mixture of American jazz and traditional Uruguayan candombe drumming. The concert will be streamed live this evening beginning at 7pm from Miami into the Center for the Arts room 145. For more information you can visit the Facebook event.
