Dr. Michelle Malott to join Indiana University East
Dr. Michelle Malott will join Indiana University East as the executive vice chancellor for Academic Affairs beginning July 1, 2016. As the executive vice chancellor, Michelle will be IU East’s chief academic and student affairs officer and will serve as the institution’s senior administrative officer. She will provide academic leadership to preserve and enhance the quality of academic programs and support services as well as be responsible for the strategic direction of Academic Affairs. Currently, Michelle is the dean of the College of Science, Health, and the Environment and a professor of bioscience at Minnesota State University in Moorhead, Minnesota. She has been at MSU since 2001 when she first began as an assistant professor of bioscience. Before she was dean, she was the chairperson of the Department of Biosciences.
