Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead Presents “Cabaret” the musical Oct. 15-17, 22-24

“Cabaret looks much different from the original musical.”

There was a Cabaret and there was a Master-of-Ceremonies and there was a city called Berlin in a country called Germany and it was the end of the world…  Music Theatre Fargo-Moorhead returns to The Stage at Island Park with a dynamic and provocative staging of Kander & Ebb’s groundbreaking ’98 revival of the musical, CABARET. This production is directed by Daniel Damico and features Pam Strait as Fräulein Schneider, Steve Poitras as Herr Schultz, Justin Barnum as Cliff Bradshaw, Kathy Hanson as Sally Bowles and Craig Ellingson as the Emcee. Damico states that this version looks much different from the original musical; a much darker and raw expression of the struggles of each character, revealing many layers of gray. Classic songs like “Willkommen,” “Maybe This Time,” “Money” and, of course, “Cabaret” take you inside the heart of 1930s Berlin to experience a city entrenched in the free-spirited decadent underground, and heartbreaking desire and loss that is CABARET!
